The department provides 24/7 medical care at the convenience of the patient in a professional, caring and responsive manner. It has a team of a Doctor/Clinical Officer, nurses and administrative staff. Patients may be seen as self-referral or as referred by general practitioner or other specialists. From outpatient department patients are either treated as out patients or admitted to wards.
This ward is a 2 bed ward dedicated to maternity services. It is equipped to monitor fetal well-being and it attends to antenatal, labor and delivery of patients, it has I delivery labor room. The ward is built in a way which ensures privacy and dignity to all mothers. It is supervised by qualified and experienced nurses who work side by side with a female Gynecologist/Obstetricians to ensure necessary medical care. Our nurse to patient ratio in this ward is 1:1.
The ward houses surgery. It has 2 beds which do accommodate 2 patients per day. The surgery department is headed by the Surgeon Dr Kalongolera, who oversees a team of highly qualified and
experienced nurse, with a nurse to patient ratio of 1:1 as well.
